Account Manager - Online Learning

Innovative and creative firm seeks an experienced Account Manager – Online Learning to provide consulting and service to our K-12 and medical education clients. We work with leading organizations to create educational websites that reach intended audiences, interactive learning experiences that integrate into school curricula and online applications that manage and track certification.


As an Account Manager – Online Learning, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients through your knowledge of learning technology solutions, certification management, the curriculum needs of teachers and the K-12 education marketplace. You will facilitate partnerships, recommend new initiatives and provide a collaborative experience that culminates in successful outcomes for learners and our clients.


Specifically, you will:


  • Establish and maintain relationships with existing client contacts while developing new contacts in client organizations and with similar companies
  • Collaborate with COO to develop and propose new initiatives with existing clients that align the client’s goals with our capabilities
  • Provide educational expertise and perspective in proposing and developing educational websites, interactive learning experiences and related technology solutions
  • Lead an internal educational certification account and ensure the continued growth and success of the client relationship
  • Follow our defined account management processes to ensure an excellent client experience and that our projects are delivered on time, on budget and on strategy
  • Work closely with the client, COO and project team to define project requirements, recommend solutions, estimate budgets, write proposals and present capabilities
  • Research, develop and write qualified grant proposals
  • Develop strong internal relationships with our learning solutions, creative and technical teams
  • Schedule and lead ongoing meetings with clients, clearly communicating agenda, objectives and results of meetings to all participants
  • Track and report on client activity
  • Travel periodically primarily in Washington DC, Maryland and Pennsylvania


  • Degree in education, communications or related field of study
  • 3-5 years’ experience with educational technology and interactive learning
  • Experience in account management and business development preferably with the educational and medical markets
  • Knowledge of K-12 curriculum, standards and classroom needs
  • Proven track record in fostering relationships that lead to successful collaborations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience developing and delivering persuasive proposals and presentations
